     a.  Myanmar Independence Day

                 
January 4 is Myanmar Independence Day. This day is

celebrated 
in the most major cities. Burma is forenamed of

Myanmar
.
It got independence from Britain in 1948.

Meanwhile, National Day falls on November or December. This

day is celebrated the start
of Burmese students anti-British

rule
in 1920.


b.  National Day of Vietnam
            September 2 is Vietnam National Day. Vietnamese group in major cities, including Hanoi. There are speeches,
parades, fireworks, and other festivities.
Vietnam was a French colony. It got independence from France in 1945. However, in 1954 Vietnam came apart into North Vietnam and South Vietnam.



c.  Independence Day of the Philippines

            The Philippines’ Independence Day is on June12.

Nationwide parades mark this important day. However, the

police and military parade is the main highlight in Manila.

Many Filipinos celebrate this day in parks and malls. The

Philippines got independence from Spain in 1898.





d.  Independence Day of Indonesia

     August 17 is Indonesian Independence Day. A parade

marks this important day.
During the festivals, it is very heavy

traffic jam. Indonesia was under the control of Portuguese,

Dutch, and Japanese rules for over 300 years before it got

independence in 1949.
